Omega 3-6-9 question?
Alrighty, I do not think I can take a supplement animal ever (I'm a vegan) and I take flaxseed meal, oil I just started flax hemp seed oil is what most most balanced omega 3-6-9 profile? Fish, krill oil, oil flax or hemp seed oil? Oil and THANKS.
Keep in mind that all omegas are of plant origin. The only reason fish and krill have omega-3 fatty acids is because they consume algae that has omega 3. Except for poultry, all sources of omega-6 are from plants, and the major source Omega 9 is from olive oil. It should be noted that any fish / krill oil indicating that contains omegas 3, 6, and 9 are omegas 6 and 9 added to them, you guessed, plant sources (usually linseed oil or borage oil). The thing is, omega 3 is what we need most, so the best thing would be something not listed here: the chia seeds. Chia seed is a super and was widely used by the Maya and the Aztecs (Mayans referred to as "the force" and the Aztecs as the "food of Operation"). A proper ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 is 1:01-4:01, and chia seeds always a relationship of 3.3:1. In addition, it is a great source of calcium, protein and fiber. These seeds are easier to absorb than flax (and not need to be ground) and absorb water, which helps improve hydration. You can get in grocery stores healthiest chia (such as Whole Foods), places like GNC, and many can sometimes be found in "a natural grocery store regular" or "health" or "organic" section.
