Krill Oil vs Fish Oil?
I read that krill oil is absorbed at the cellular level in 95-98% and fish oil is 61-65% absorbable. It I want my oil is the EPA, and I want to get 1000 mg (1 gram) of EPA. So, using the above percentages, and some labels, I found with a number of krill oils should have about 150 mg of EPA per serving. If 98% absorbable, I guess this means I'm getting from 147mg a portion of krill. My fish oil is 1000mg of EPA per serving. If 65% absorbable, I guess this means I'm getting 650mg of fish oil. In the book of Dr. Stoll, The Omega-3 connection, which measures in grams EFA and this is what he used in his work, so this is what I do, too. For one gram of EPA, does This would have to take almost 7 servings of krill, or less than 2 servings of fish oil a day to compensate for my gram?
krill oil is my preference !!!!!!!
