The differences between the EPA / DHA fish oil?

Trying to find a good Omega 3 fatty acids fish oil supplement. My mom has a disease heart and want to reduce the changes of me get it. I've noticed many people giving opinions on various supplements of DHA have said it is better than the EPA. If that so, then why is that so many fish oil brands have more EPA than DHA?? What would be the right dose for me, which has a family history of heart disease and depression? How much DHA and EPA need? Thanks!

I believe the reason why most supplements fish oil containing EPA plus DHA that because the EPA is present in large quantities in sea creatures. So naturally the oil extracted from them contains higher EPA. But instead of taking omega-3 isolates found in most highly refined fish oil supplements, is not it better to take fish oil that retains the most naturally occurring omega-3 fats and other nutrients found in fish, really? To prevent ingestion of environmental contaminants environment, it is also important to choose fish oil from wild fish such as farmed fish can contain high levels of antibiotics, hormones diseases due to growth and how they are raised (I think fishing crowded and fast growing-fat-feeds).
