Can I give my Shih Tzu omega-3 supplements for severe skin allergies?

I am looking for a more natural remedy to my dog’s skin allergies. Right now she is taking steroids due to a recent flare-up. I am trying to find a way to prevent the flare-ups with something natural that I can do daily. Any suggestions?
