and why is it so good for you? i give my 2 year old daughter yogurt with Omega-3 in it and grandma was really happy that it had Omega-3 but what is Omega-3 and why is it so good for you?

It is usually gotten from fish oils… but you can get it from some veggie sources as well. It is really important for heart health and brain development. I have a son with ADHD and in our research have discovered that there is a theory that lack of omega 3′s may be partially to blame for ADD and ADHD. We give our 10 yr old Omega three fish oil pills (they are huge horse pills) and we have really been able to step down the amount of medication that he needs.
I am a huge advocate for Omega 3′s now, especially if you don’t get a lot of fish in your diet.
