Looking for a liquid fish oil / omega 3.?
I have a gastric bypass in a month and the need to start taking liquids, powdered supplements … Does anyone have a recommendation as to their favorite fish oil liquid / Omega 6? I'll put it in a milkshake, and (ideally) want something rather bad taste and high EPA / DHA! I've been in Super Max EPA lookinng TwinLabs and Coromega. I work in a dead-high vitamin company also capsules but we have only fishy! Thanks!
First of all, be clear (although probably just misspoke) – you do not want anything with omega-6. The reason everyone needs omega-3 fatty acids so bad is that our modern diet has thrown the body in relation omega-6/omega-3 seriously out of line (instead of thinking about 20:1 4:1), so taking omega-6 only contributes to the problem. I've heard good things about Coromega. I also work for a company selling the fish oil liquid in a bottle, and because it has remained fresh and frozen it has no taste (seriously!).
